Dr. S. De Alwis is a obstetrician and gynaecologist who is currently practicing at Cayman's Chrissie Tomlinson Memorial Hospital. Of Sri Lankan descent, he is a British citizen and a fellow of both the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare and the Royal College of Obstetricians, Gynaecologists and Surgeons in the UK. 

He came to the Cayman Islands in 1994 and specializes in infertility, cancer screening and pain management. He offers a special laparoscopic surgery method, which is called the "De Alwis Method," and is available 6 days a week.
